As the leaves change and there’s a crisp chill in the air, Sonoma County comes alive with fall colour, harvest events, and the perfect pumpkin patches. Here are some of the top spots and seasonal festivals to check out.
Top Pumpkin Patches
One of the most popular pumpkin patches in the county is run by a local farmer who has been growing crops for four generations. You can find sustainably grown pumpkins, a large corn maze, pony rides, carnival rides, face painting, and all the fun activities of fall.
Just past the Marin–Sonoma line, you will find a popular place to visit. They have a giant hay maze, a hay pyramid, a paintball gallery, pony rides, and a big selection of pumpkins, gourds, and squash. You can also enjoy food from various vendors.

Tips for Visiting
- Go early or on weekdays: Weekends tend to be busy, especially at photo-worthy patches.
- Check the patches’ & festivals’ official websites for hours & ticketing: dates, price, and access sometimes shift or require reservations.
- Dress for the weather + mess: farms can be muddy, and afternoons can get chilly. Layers are your friend.
- Bring cash & extra time: some vendors may only accept cash; exploring corn mazes, petting zoos, etc., can take more time than expected.
